It’s a working relationship built on trust, confidentiality, growth and learning. Mentors are able to offer an external view on knowledge, work and thinking that may not be available within your business.

- The first part of any successful relationship is making sure the right Mentor-Mentee match is made. Mentees will meet with their potential Mentor before making a decision.
- It’s up to the Mentee to set the agenda that will help them reach their goals. They decide the meeting time, length and the expectations of process and anticipated outcomes. They are also responsible for following the program and making sure benchmarks are met. They drive the program.
- The Mentor’s role is to listen, discuss ambitions and goals and to provide the guidance needed for the Mentee to improve in all areas of life and professional development. They ensure accountability, provide helpful feedback and reflection and operate as a professional sounding board, professional friend and source of knowledge and advice.
- Cooperation from both parties is the key to a successful working relationship that is sure to produce results.
How does Coaching work?
