Todd specialises in helping people to be highly effective in the boardroom environment: whether as a board member, reporting to boards, leading boards and committees, or working behind the scenes.
He was privileged to work directly for some of Australia’s most respected directors and chairs and has been keen to pass on the learnings from these remarkable experiences.
During his time with the ASX Corporate Governance Council he helped to introduce reporting requirements for gender diversity on boards for all ASX listed companies. Since then he has worked to support and mentor emerging female leaders and support them in and into executive roles for some of Australia’s biggest companies and best known brands.
His focus is on helping people to lead effectively and become effective leaders in a way that matches the pace and scale of the opportunities that present themselves. He also works as a consultant and advisor to some of Australia’s best known companies, specialising in risk, governance and assurance and is a sought after facilitator and commentator on these topics by professional bodies and standard setters around Australia and abroad.
His boardroom experiences ranges from small angel funded start-ups through to large public institutions. These include chairman/lead independent director of The West Australian Music Industry Association, GreenCollar Group, Resilient Futures, and the Australian Conservation Foundation, as well as director of and the Institute of Internal Auditors, Pulse Radio Group and the Bunbury Institute of Advanced Education. He is currently a member and chair of audit and risk committees across education, transport, healthcare and infrastructure in SA and NSW – responsible for in excess of $20b in annual spend and more than 140,000 staff.
