I’m the Founder and Managing Director of bottomline and behind closed doors and have had success working with boards, executives, senior management and business owners across industry, government and the not-for-profit sector.
My background is at the Executive and senior management level of banking, finance, human resources and government over a period of 35 years. I’ve led the sales, marketing and banking division of Australia’s leading Executive Recruitment Company, Morgan & Banks, (now Hudson Ltd) before being appointed as General Manager, Marketing and Business Development, with the SA Employers Chamber of Commerce and Industry, trading as Business SA.
I joined the South Australian Government as Executive Director of Invest South Australia, responsible for foreign direct investment from interstate and overseas. I was also the inaugural Chief Executive, Defence SA, a division of the Department of Trade and Economic Development. Following this I was then appointed Chief Executive Officer, vivasa Inc. formerly known as Business Vision 2010. This organisation worked collaboratively with government, industry and community to drive economic, social and environmental development in South Australia.
I was Chairman of the Australian Dance Theatre, and former Director on the following Boards: Social Inclusion Board, Zero Waste Management Board, Australian Associated Advisors, Repat Foundation, Heart Foundation SA, SA Great, SYC HYPA Board, Advisory Board Director for Salvos SA and a Founding Member of International Women’s Forum Membership committee. Other affiliations and memberships include Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD) and Adelaide Football Club.
I am a graduate and scholarship winner of the Macquarie University Executive Management Program, a Fellow and hold a Graduate Diploma from the AICD, selected to the AICD Chairmans’ Mentoring Program, and selected for the AICD Mastering the Boardroom Program, and hold an Associate Diploma in Accounting. I was appointed Chair of TEC 56 (The Executive Connection).
I won the Asia Pacific Business Council for Women “Woman of Distinction Award” – Economic Development & Investment category. I was also a National judge for the Telstra Business Women of the Year Awards and National judge for the Business Awards.
I also have an accredited Leadership Circle Profile TM (LCP) Certification
